The Masked Bandit: A 3rd Level Adventure for 5th Edition

Atrayus was once a simple farmer living a simple life in the hills outside the city. When the king's taxes grew and grew to the point where he could no longer feed his family, Atrayus grew angry: Something had to be done. Long ago, before he settled down to a peaceful life in the countryside, Atrayus was The Silver Mask, a bandit of great renown. It was only the love of a woman, his wife, that convinced him to put his bow away and live as a common man. With no other options, Atrayus picked up his bow and began harassing the king's caravans, stealing just enough to keep himself and his family fed and his local village from crumbling under the pressure of the king's greed. Now, the king has put out a bounty on Atrayus', or rather, The Silver Mask's head: 5,000 gp dead or alive. It'll be up to a small band of adventurers to seek out the bandit, learn his true identity, and decide what to do once they learn of his plight.
