The Flames of Agamon: A 10th Level Adventure for 5th Edition

Joriah Fallstead was never a rich man. The son of a carpenter, he grew up living a simple life in a small village in the Greenwood. When he reached adulthood, he sought ways to better his position in life. He tried various jobs, even took up adventuring for a short time, but fame and riches always eluded him. Then one day, a man came to Joriah. He promised him riches beyond his wildest dreams in exchange for one little thing... his immortal soul. Desperate for the life he wanted to live, Joriah made the deal. Over the next sixty years, he lived a lavish lifestyle. His near endless supply of gold kept him in fine clothes, expensive wine, and beautiful women. But slowly, time began to take it's toll. As death loomed closer and closer, he soon found himself worrying about what would happen after he died. This quickly became an obsession and he spent countless gold trying to find a way to buy back his soul. Unfortunately for him, no amount of gold could undo what he'd done. Finally, as he lay on his deathbed, a woman arrived at his home. She claimed to be an expert on the occult and the infernal and told Joriah that there was only one way to escape his damnation. Somewhere on the plane of Agamon is a fire that burns hotter than the sun, a piece of of the elemental chaos leftover from when the world was formed. If Joriah could acquire the soul contract he signed and cast it into the fire, it would undo the blood magic that bound him to the devil he made the deal with and free his soul. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, he put out a call for adventurers to take up this task. In exchange, he offered all the gold in his vault, all his lands, and every priceless artifact he possessed.
