The Final Countdown: A 20th Level Adventure for 5th Edition

There has been a revolt in the outer planes. A solar named Izrail, disgusted with the state of the world and the corruption he perceives within it, has acquired a long forgotten relic known as the Shard of the Divine. This fragment of pure divinity elevated his powers and gave him, for a brief time, power to rival all the gods combined. In this solitary moment, he sealed the pantheon away in a realm beyond all others, out in the Void itself. Now, he has created a ticking time bomb, a rift of unimaginable power that is slowly building until it has enough energy to detonate and obliterate the known universe. To make matters worse, he's announced his intentions to all living things through telepathy so as to instill fear and chaos in the world's final days. Unless a host of heroes can travel to the center of the universe, confront Izrail, destroy the shard, and free the gods, nothing will stop the fallen solar from bringing his plan to completion.
