The Burning Legions: A 7th Level Adventure for 5th Edition

The local kobold tribes have never really been a major problem for the dwarves of Loch Fjord, only a bothersome nuisance as they occasionally attack underground travelers or pester caravans traveling the roads close to the mountains. Recently, however, their attacks have been more organized. They wield fire and flame as easily as spears and bows and they lack the usual cowardice that kobolds are known for. The leader of Loch Fjord believes that a dragon has rallied the kobolds to its side and is now commanding their forces. What he doesn't know is that Drozzokk, the red dragon, has found and ingested the *Shard of the Defender*. This has allowed him to grow to a massive size and regenerate from wounds much quicker. Bolstered by his newfound fortitude, Drozzokk has made it his mission to drive the dwarves from Loch Fjord once and for all and secure it as his new lair.  In an effort to stop the dragon and kobold attacks, Gizmoc Caveshoulder, a powerful archmage from Loch Fjord, set out to try and slay the dragon himself. Unfortunately, he found himself overpowered and is now a captive in their makeshift prison pens. Unless a group of adventurers can find and free him, he'll end up becoming food for the dragon.
