Lost Palace of the Elementals: A 9th Level Adventure for 5th Edition
Many centuries ago, an evil efreeti was bound to a magic lamp. Trapped inside, his hatred and malice grew as he waited for the day he'd be released. Over time, the significance of the lamp was lost, and it ended up in a shop of oddities and curios. It remained there until, one day, the owner happened to rub it just the right way, releasing the evil efreeti within. In a whirl of fire and smoke, it destroyed the shop, cursed the owner, and fled deep into the desert to an old temple buried beneath the sands. Now, the owner is slowly burning away. Unless the efreeti is killed, the poor shopkeeper will burn up and turn to ash.
