Case of the Curious Clockwork: A 5th Level Adventure for 5th Edition

In the city of Valhenge, no name is both honored and reviled such as Blitz Hammerdinger. A gnomish inventor of extraordinary talent, his inventions have both bettered the lives of the people of the city, and caused untold mayhem. Unfortunately for the city, poor Blitz has finally lost his mind. Driven mad by a strange crystalline shard he'd hoped to use to power his creation, he now creates clockwork abominations in the depths of his lab far beneath the city streets. Some of those abominations have begun making their way to the streets above through the sewer system, and the town guard has no idea how to stop them or where they're coming from. Unless a band of adventurers can find the source and put a stop to it, the mechanical monsters risk overrunning the city!
